Senior Account Manager

I build and maintain strong client relationships by understanding each client's unique needs, developing and proposing strategies to meet those needs, and managing the creative team in developing branding, advertising, and direct marketing campaigns. I enable account growth by identifying new opportunities and developing plans and proposals that enable us to deliver on those opportunities. I work with photographers, filmmakers, designers, and musicians on various projects and set marketing and creative strategies, develop project schedules and manage the implementation of marketing programs. Select client projects include:

TiVo - Advertising Sales Video

DVR's are changing the way we watch television. We are not longer watching television on the networks schedule or regularly watching commercial spots. TiVo has proprietary ways for advertisers to reach consumers through non-invasive advertising. We worked with TiVo to develop a marketing program directed at advertisers that communicates the benefits of advertising with TiVo. My role included:

  • Developing the marketing and creative strategy
  • Managing the development and approval of scripts and storyboards
  • Contacting and negotiating production expense and in-kind compensation agreement with music and video artist MC Lars
  • Managing the shooting and editing of an original song and music video
  • Successfully negotiating payment of production expense overages
  • Delivering the final files in all necessary formats for broadcast and online distribution

Logitech-You Tube QuickCam Online Film Festival

Logitech partnered with You Tube to be their official webcam and has an opportunity to market the QuickCams to the 15-25 year old demographic and become the preferred camera for personal video use.  We are developing a online film festival to enhance engagement with this audience, and promote the use of Logitech Quickcams for creating original short form video content. My role included:

  • Collaborating with the client and creative team to develop the contest structure and incentive program
  • Managing the development and approval of all components of the campaign microsite and integration with You Tube
  • Building alliances with current You Tube content creators to maximize participation and views
  • Manage the creation and production of video spots to promote the contest

Creative Director

I was responsible for conceptualizing and executing branding and advertising campaigns for events, online, and print. I managed the client relationship and the creative team, ensuring that the work we delivered was strategically, aesthetically, and financially successful. Selected clients include:

PeopleSoft - CRM 8.9 multimedia series - www.peoplesoft.com

The PeopleSoft CRM team needed to communicate the capabilities and benefits of a range of solutions to business decision-makers. We developed an interactive product overview suite addressing six target markets. It consisted of streaming video of live actors, combined with scenario-based product demonstrations using screenshots, Flash animation and motion graphics. We began the project after the previous agency resigned the account, stating the amount of work was simply too great for the timeframe - about 6 weeks. We delivered the project on time and on budget. My role included:

  • Hiring and managing a geographically dispersed team of designer, writers, and programmers
  • Providing overall creative direction on the concept, script, graphical style and animations
  • Casting and directing a team of seven screen actors
  • Leading the review and approval cycles with the six members of the PeopleSoft CRM team

AXA Rosenberg - Brand Video - www.axarosenberg.com

AXA Rosenberg wanted a video to run on a wall in the lobby of their newly renovated corporate headquarters and for distribution at internal and external events. The video needed to promote their image as a global, institutional, equity investment manager and express the benefits of AXA's unique use of technology to evaluate equities. The challenge was to show that their investment process enables sustainable and repeatable results on a level that is both broader and deeper then the alternatives while delivering a piece that was visually interesting. My role included:

  • Developed the creative strategy
  • Hired and managed a team of writers and storyboard artists
  • Directed the development of storyboards and animations
  • Presented the creative direction and production plan to multiple levels of the client organization

Independent Projects

2005-present
Faces of Sunset Boulevard  www.facesofsunset.com

Faces of sunset Boulevard is an photo documentary project that seeks to compose a collective portrait of the people that live and work along this famous strip of road. Working with Photographer Patrick Ecclesine, we have developed a portfolio site and a blog site to document the projects production. This led to official support from the city of LA and a photo shoot with the mayor.
In addition we have started an SEO campaign to increase traffic to the site and build community online.

2003
ControlAltTV

ControlAltTV was a Bay Area comedy show meant to facilitate a deeper sense of community across the neighbors of San Francisco. It was developed for public access television and I received certification to use of the SF Access studio and equipment and crewed on a number of shows (camera, sound, floor management, CG, and directing) to attain this certification. I was responsible for putting together the team of writers, actors, and crew members for the shows production.

2001
Invisible Hand Project
When the dot com bubble collapsed in 2001, there was a lot of unleased real estate in San Francisco. There were also a number of artists who now had more time to focus on developing their abilities as painters, musicians, and sculptors. I formed the Invisible Hand Project to hold art shows in vacant commercial real estate and feature the work of emerging artists.  With a public relations effort, some posters and direct mail programs, we marketed and produced some successful shows and pushed forward the careers of a few very talented artists including Tiffany Bozic and Dave Warnke.
